Leader of the opposition addresses Independence day ceremonies

This article talks about Francis Fonseca's on September 21, Independence Day for the people of Belize celebrating their 32 years of independence from Great Britain. He speaks of "real, meaningful reform" in their economy and society. He wants to make economic advances more accessible for the majority of Belize's population focusing on their social services. He talks about how he finds this more important then the many scandals he lists. He finds that their is "need for change, improvement and strengthening", he also want to create a good attitude behind between political parties. He mentions the many current turn downs of proposals by the house of representatives, and states that "the people can be delayed, but it shall not be denied". He comments on the lack of conflict deputes between ethnic groups despite the welcoming of refugees from other countries; and the issues in other countries due to colonies. He demands that they work for job creation, recreating the education system, and for a high attention toward rising health care cost. Overall he looks to make local and governmental issues in Belize to go away or at least decrease.
